Most people know about the five senses- taste, touch, hearing, sight and smell but there are three other senses that impact our balance (vestibular), movement (proprioceptive) and our ability to feel what’s happening inside our bodies (interoceptive).
Zen sensory fun works on developing aspects of all of these senses to help develop strong neural connections and a well developed nervous system. Sensory experiences from birth to around 3 years old hugely impact brain development both in the short term but also later in a child’s life.
Zen Kidz offer a calming, cosy, nurturing space with a wide range of activities designed to arouse but not overstimulate and overwhelm the body and mind. Zen sensory fun classes support restful sleep, meeting milestones, good posture, eating, play and most importantly connection between you and your child.
Classes are offered as Zen baby sensory fun for babies up to confident walkers. Then, when they are fully on the move, there is Zen totz sensory fun. This class is designed for those older sensory seekers with fun, stage appropriate experiences to allow them to more independently explore the world around them.
